I have contacted the journalist Line Holm Nielsen for further information about Ghane, and she has been most helpful, sending me a bunch of useful information, including names, emails and phone numbers of the staff at Paropakar Maternity & Women's Hospital, where the little girl is located.
The photographer Mads Nissen has also sent me additional pictures of Ghane - she's such a pretty little girl, despite her large head!
I will now take contact to some doctors here in Denmark, to ask for an immediate medical evaluation of her condition, based on the photos and information that I have.
Next step is to get in touch with some of the Danish NGOs, to see if they can help facilitating her possible treatment in our outside Nepal. And I'll need help on translating documents into Nepalese, as English skills can be limited out there...
I have also checked flights and visa rules for Nepal, and hotels in Kathmandu - I just don't think that we could be sending money to ensure Ghane's treatment, without being there to oversee the process.
This story is already evolving pretty fast....
